Are VW beetles good....?

It has 120,000 miles on it and I mean, it seems like a good car.

My Altima has over 200,000 miles on it and I'm needing a new car.

The vw beetles while a good design when new, has always left something to be desired when it comes to longevity issues. In this case, the newer it is, and the lower the mileage the longer its going to last. I have noticed there are a lot more complaints about blown head gaskets, and transmissions once past the 80,000 mile mark, and that vehicle is no nissan your Altima is miles ahead of its competition in terms of longevity and durability. NO VW has ever laid claim to beating the nissan for durability and toughness of the altima. Buy another altima before another bug is a better bet these days, The mileage is way past the point of buying a Volkswagen its going to need something major soon.
