Flowmaster super 44 on v6 camaro?

-I just bought a super 44 dual outlet muffler that I'm welding dual exhaust to. My car is only a v6 and I've heard that the sound comes out a little ricey. Will the duals and a cold air intake deepen the sound? Will it still sound good anwyay? The previous post is misunderstanding you, I think - you have a single pipe running to a 44 with a single in, dual out, correct? If this is true, then its not a "true dual" but simply a dual set of tailpipes.

The "ricer" sound would come from a true dual on your V6, where you run dual pipes from the headers - effectively separating the exhaust pulses to a 2x3 format; not good.

You didn't mention what kind of car we're talking about, too - if you are running this muffler on a small-bore V6, then it will sound a little ratty, especially with a stock cat hushing most of the noise. But if its a large bore V6 like the 3.8, then you should have a decent enough sound.

The CAI won't do anything for the exhaust note. The only real way to "deepen" a ricey exhaust note would be to increase the diameter of the exhaust piping, increasing the resonance sound of the entire exhaust. For example, if you ran 3" pipe instead of a 2.5", you'll have a louder overall sound, and more aggressive, with the downside of more interior noise as well - but you have to make sacrifices sometimes......Don't be a fool and waste your money on fake exhausts. Dual Exhausts come naturally on many V8s, but not on a 6 cylinder. Change your engine, not your exhaust.
