I was gassing it in 2nd gear and miss shift then it felt like my clutch went out?

-It will move slowly at low gas, but if I gas it too much it revs. I can also put it in all gear and idle and it won't stall, the engine just revs up and down. Its a 1992 bmw 318is 2.5 4cylHi

the clutch did not just go it was worn and you just broke the camels back as we say.

so yes you could need a new clutch, but in the interests of your bank balance change the lot and not just the clutch plate as if you don't the whole thing will have to come apart again to do the other bits with in a month so replace the thrust bearing the clutch cover and the clutch plate otherwise you will be back to the garage when the the cover or the bearing fails later. and the labour charges will cripple you. in the bank and pocket.
sounds like a clutch to me there ez to fix about 500 to 700 in a shop or if you do it your self 150 to 200 a clutch pretty ez cost of the clutch and have the fly wheel cut a clutch is around 150 to 200 at napa,auto zone, O'Reilly's and about $35 to have the fly wheel cut
