-Ijust want to know if obd 2 scaner is good for my grand prix gt 04Yes it is. Every car made since 1996 has OBD2. There are 2 types of OBD codes, generic codes which are common to every car and enhanced codes which are unique to each manufacturer. If you need to get to the enhanced codes you need a scanner that can interpret the GM codes.
