Peugeot Finance - Annual Service Query?

-I have a peugeot 107, and its due for its 2nd service in 2 years, which is fine.

I have called to book it in, and they now want me to pay 拢199.99 for a full blown service. Last year it was 拢189.99, and the year before it was 拢149!!

Now, i can go elsewhere but need to go somewhere which has approved Peugeot parts and is VAT registered.

As silly as it sounds, has anyone had a car on finance and gone elsewhere to get it serviced? I want to keep the car at the end of my 3 year agreement next year....so i cant see a problem, other than if something goes wrong with my car which was undertaken in the service, Peugeot wont cover it under their warranty! Please help. Elsewhere for a top notch service, in Kwikfit or Mr Clutch are charging 拢165 max!!!



Thanksi used to be a peugeot salesman and the rules changed to allow any garage to service your car provided your service book was stamped and proper parts were used, (including non-peugeot parts).

it's just a racket so service the thing anywhere you want, it will not invalidate your warranty. EU rules.
Are you for real?

Did your transport fares not rise compared to last year?

Did your rent not rise from last year?

Did the cost of your petrol not rise since last year?

The rise you speak of - 拢10 more than last year - is actually very reasonable.

You're obviously not living in the real world
That's a perfectly reasonable price for a main dealer service.

Never take a car to KwikFit or Halfrauds for a service, they use cheap parts and will add on all sorts of charges at the end.
