Pontiac : What happens to the resale value ?

-GM has closed Pontiac now,makes me wonder,will it affect the resale value of the cars ? Will Pontiac owners be able to get its genuine parts ?Yes, you can still get Pontiac parts from GM, alot of the newer cars used parts off of other GM cars too. The drive trains were widely used between several GM models other than Pontiac.

Newer Pontiacs like the G8 or the GTO's are holding their value pretty well. Older Pontiacs are on the rise. but they were on the rise before the shutdown. My TransAms 79' and 80' have doubled in value over the past few years.J, what models are "rapidly appreciating in value"? They're not, aside from the G8 and that's a big maybe.



Anyway, yes you can still get Pontiac parts.
Some models are already rapidly appreciating in value. Many parts used on Pontiacs were used in other GM automobiles,plus you can still find plenty at local auto parts stores and on Ebay & in salvage yards..
