Shall we use 4.2L V8 TDI engine in mid range car?

-normally this engine applies on luxury and sporty, but is there a option to fit this in mid sized compact regardless of its price?1st off there's nothing sporty about a diesel.. Secondly, the logistics of putting the Audi 4.2L which is longitudely mounted in all it's current applications, in a compact car which would likely have a transversely mounted engine, would be very difficult. The cost of the project would likely exceed the value of of the car 5 or 6 times over. I'm sure it can be done with enough money. But it's not a practical idea at all. The chassis would have to be extensively modified to fit the engine, a new suspension would be required, and there would be many custom one-off parts needed.
