What's the best/fastest honda civic?

-I'm confused with cx, crx, si etc. and all that bullsht

1990-2000It depends what country you live in, but the fastest and best stock civic available in those years is the EK9 civic Type-R, 1996-2001, it was sold in Japan only, but plenty have been privatly imported all over the world. The fastest is the Racebase version, it comes with a seam welded chassis (same chassis as the EK4 VTi of europe, and the SiR of japan, same as the Si coupe in the US, just a hatchback, just improved over the EK4 chassis) thicker ARB, lighweight windscreen, lighweight rims, no carpet, no electrics and no parcel shelf (but a regular version with electrics etc is available).



it comes with the B16B 1.6 DOHC VTEC engine, that produces 185 bhp, and revs to 9000 rpm, it uses custom high-comp pistons, lightened cams, forged and balanced crankshaft, lighweight valves and more, and has a LSD gearbox, bigger brakes then the Si/VTi and 5-stud hubs

otherwise, the Si is the next best, or VTi if you live in europe, with the 160 BHP 1.6 engine, you'll find the older ones are a bit quicker as their smaller, like the EG6 civic VTi/Si. the CRX isn't a civic, but they quick aswell.go with honda civic hybrid.

While none of those year civics are fast (really, no civic is fast, not stock or mildly modified without some sort of forced induction), the quickest in the US will be the 99-00 Civic Si. It barely runs 15s in 1/4 mile, it's 2700lbs and only 160hp, 111ft-lb torque and loses to 130hp ford escorts, but with what you're asking, that's the quickest one.
if you live in the us probably a S2000 but i mean civic are easy cars to build and pretty cheap too. Like you can buy a $3000 dollar hatchback and like spend another 2k on an engine and im pretty sure that car would fly too!
